Diversity & Inclusion
ECA IC is committed to Diversity and Inclusion and is aligned with London Metropolitan University’s Equality and Diversity Policy. This is based on the requirements of the UK’s 2010 Equality Act which ensures that all people are treated equally and requires institutions to advance equality of opportunity, foster good relations between people of different protected characteristics and eliminate unlawful discrimination.
Both ECA IC and London Met actively work to provide equal access to education to all people from the protected characteristics outlined in the Equality Act 2010. This is achieved through staff training, ensuring student awareness (this is done in induction week), through student services’ provision of support (for example through the Disability and Dyslexia Service) and via inclusive representation in learning materials, celebration of different groups with on campus activities and through the students’ union.
This ensures that all students are welcome at ECA IC, we can’t wait to welcome you, whoever you are wherever you are from!
